Basement Bathroom Reconstruction with Ejector Pump Work in Great Neck, NY
We rebuilt a small basement bathroom in Great Neck, NY as part of a bigger gut renovation. The work started with demo so we could get at the slab and the wall framing and rebuild it in the right order.
This bathroom also tied into an ejector pump, so that work stayed in the scope while the room was being put back together.
What We Did
- Demolished the existing basement bathroom area
- Handled ejector pump work tied to the basement bathroom
- Installed vapor barrier prep at the concrete for moisture control
- Poured a 4-inch topping in the bathroom floor area
- Installed new termite-proof framing in the bathroom area
- Closed in the walls and finished the room with tile, toilet, vanity, trim, paint, a doorway, and ceiling lighting
Basement Floor & Wall Prep
In basements, the floor work matters. We prepped the concrete area, put down the vapor barrier layer, then built the floor back up with the topping before any finish work went in.
Once the framing was set, we closed the room in and finished it out.
